Email Threads

Connect email conversations to Workpaper Agent so messages and attachments can sync into a workbook thread and be added to agent chat as context.

Workflow

Step 1

Open Workpaper Agent

Start from Workpaper Agent so the email thread address is created for the correct workbook.

Step 2

Open Templates

Use Templates to find the workbook where you want to connect email communication.

Step 3

Open the template

Select the specific template or workbook that should receive the synced email thread.

Open the thread link

Use Threads and Link to start creating a communication address for the workbook.

Choose Email

Select the email option so Workpaper Agent creates a reply address for the workbook thread.

Customize the address

Customize the generated address when you want a recognizable reply address for the email thread.

Change the address

Edit the address before creating it so collaborators can identify the workbook thread more easily.

Enter the suffix

Use a 4 to 12 character suffix with letters or numbers for the custom reply address.

Create the address

Create the reply address after confirming it points to the right workbook thread.

Copy the reply address

Copy the generated address so it can be included in the email conversation you want to sync.

Review grouped threads

Back in Workpaper Agent, email threads are grouped by subject inside Threads.

Open the email thread

Select the synced email subject to review the messages and attachments that came from email.

Review synced messages

Confirm the email messages and attachment details are available before adding context to Chat.

Add an attachment to Chat

Add the email attachment when the agent should use the file as prompt context.

Open Chat

Switch to Chat to review the context added from the email thread.

Confirm the attachment appears in the Chat context dropdown before prompting the agent.

Add a message to Chat

The selected email message is sent as a reference so the agent can use it while processing the prompt.

Email Threads connects email conversations with Workpaper Agent so teams can keep workbook communication, attachments, and agent context in the same place. After the reply address is added to an email conversation, messages sync into the workbook thread.

Review habit

Create the reply address from the correct workbook, include it in the intended email conversation, and add only the email messages or attachments the agent should use as prompt context.

What does Email Threads sync?

Email Threads syncs messages from an email conversation into the linked Workpaper Agent thread when the Workpaper Agent reply address is included in the conversation.

Can email attachments be used in agent chat?

Yes. You can add a synced email attachment or message to Chat so the agent can use it as prompt context.

Limitations

Address is workbook-specific

Create and use the reply address from the workbook that should receive the synced email conversation.

Custom suffix requirements

Custom reply address suffixes must use 4 to 12 letters or numbers.

Troubleshooting

The email thread does not appear in Workpaper Agent.

Confirm the Workpaper Agent reply address was included in the email conversation and that new messages were sent after the address was added.

An attachment or message is not available in Chat.

Open the synced email thread and use the Add to Chat action for the specific attachment or message before prompting the agent.
