QuickBooks Permission Requirements for Truewind

Make sure the QuickBooks user who authorizes Truewind has the access needed to complete the current connection flow.

Workflow

Setup workflow

Step 1

Identify the QuickBooks user who will connect

Confirm which Intuit login will complete the connection and whether that user has the required admin or accountant access.

Step 2

Start the QuickBooks connection from Truewind

In Connections > Accounting, select Connect on the QuickBooks card.

Step 3

Sign in with the correct Intuit user

Use the approved QuickBooks user during the Intuit sign-in flow instead of a personal or limited-access login.

Step 4

Authorize Truewind and verify the connection

Complete the Intuit authorization steps and confirm QuickBooks returns to Truewind as connected or syncing.

Common access issue

If the Intuit user can sign in but cannot finish authorization, the account usually lacks the permissions required to approve the third-party connection.
