Support Center / Workpaper Agent / Journal Entries
Review and post draft journal entries from a completed workpaper when journal output needs accounting review, resulting in corrected entries that are ready to post.
Step 1
Start in Truewind on Workpaper Agent > Templates, then use this button to send the selected workpaper into the Journal Entry drafting flow.

Step 2
This sends the journal-entry drafting prompt to the agent.

Step 3
This matters because if the layout is already correct, the agent uses the existing tab. If not, the agent creates a new Truewind tab to prepare the journal entries from the workpaper data in other tabs.

Step 4
This gives the agent time to validate the account, payee, and dimension mappings before moving to the preview page.

Step 5
This opens the preview page. If the journal entry passes Sage requirements, the status shows a green check mark and the entry is ready to post.

Step 6
This starts the Sage posting flow.

Step 7
This sets the Sage journal book for the draft journal entry, then click Post so you can submit it to Sage.

Step 8
This shows the full list of posted, posting, and failed-to-post journal entries after submission.

Step 9
This returns you to the draft journal entry view from Journal Entries.

Step 10
This shows the workbook page, where the prompt section is locked for that draft journal entry run.

Step 11
Click Draft journal entries, then choose the specific journal entry you want to inspect in detail.

Step 12
This lets you inspect the journal entry details and verify the posted journal entry on the Sage side.

Entries are blocked when required accounts, dimensions, dates, or other validations are still missing or invalid in the draft preview.
The eligible entries move into posting and then appear in the journal-entry workflow with updated status once the ERP posting finishes. When the full batch posts successfully, the workpaper status is set to Posted and review-flow status controls are locked.
Not every workpaper produces draft journal entries, and the workpaper must be approved before the draft-journal-entry workflow becomes available.
Confirm the feature is enabled for the environment and that the source workpaper template supports draft journal entries.
Review the blocked-entry issues and sync errors first, then fix those fields before trying to post again.
This is expected once the workpaper reaches Posted. To continue workflow updates, start follow-up work in a rolled-forward or new workpaper instead of editing the posted run.
