Workpaper Agent / Studio

Workpaper Studio basics

Open Workpaper Studio when a workbook is already in progress and needs follow- up work, resulting in a live workspace for workbook editing, lineage, and downstream actions.

Workflow

Setup workflow

Step 1

Open the workpaper in Studio

Open the Studio route for the exact workpaper you want to edit so the workbook and right-side panel load together.

Step 2

Wait for the workbook to finish loading

Let the workbook and lineage controls fully load before switching tabs or sending chat instructions.

Step 3

Choose the correct lineage run

Use the lineage tabs or child-run picker first if the workpaper family has multiple related runs.

Step 4

Choose the right-side panel mode

Keep the right panel on Chat for normal workbook work, or switch it to a workflow-specific panel such as Deposit Reconciliations when that tool is needed.

Step 5

Continue the workbook task

Work in the workbook and chat together instead of treating Studio as a read-only viewer.

Step 6

Update the linked checklist status when needed

Use the review-flow controls to approve or request changes on the linked checklist task, adding the optional reviewer comment when the flow allows it.

Step 7

Use the toolbar actions for next steps

Share, push to storage, roll forward, or open other follow-up actions from the Studio toolbar only after the workbook state is where you want it.

What makes Studio different

Studio is the live workbook workspace for Workpaper Agent. Use it when the workpaper is already in progress and you need workbook-aware chat, lineage, or downstream actions.

FAQ

Why does Studio show a different workbook after I switch lineage?

Studio ties the selected workpaper, conversation, and workbook together. When you switch lineage runs, the workbook and chat context move together.

When should I use the right-side tool panel instead of Chat?

Keep the panel on Chat for normal workbook work. Switch it only when you need a workflow-specific tool such as Deposit Reconciliations.

Limitations

Studio depends on the workbook loading first

Many Studio actions only make sense after the workbook, lineage, and right-side panel all finish loading. Jumping ahead too early can make the workflow look inconsistent.

Troubleshooting

The panel I need is not visible in Studio.

Check whether the right-side panel is collapsed or still set to Chat, then switch to the workflow-specific panel you need.

I updated the wrong run in Studio.

Recheck the lineage tabs or child-run picker before editing, because Studio can switch workbook and chat context together when you change runs.
