Workpaper Agent / Studio

Push a workbook to storage

Push a Studio workbook to Google Drive or SharePoint when the final export needs to land in downstream storage, resulting in the workbook uploaded to the selected destination.

Workflow

Setup workflow

Step 1

Open Connections > Storage

Go to Connections and switch to the Storage tab before trying to push from Studio.

Step 2

Connect or verify the storage provider

Confirm the Google Drive or SharePoint connection you want to use is connected and ready.

Step 3

Save the root destination folder

Choose and save the root destination in Connections if it has not already been configured for that storage connection.

Step 4

Return to the workpaper in Studio

Go back to the Studio workpaper only after the correct storage connection and root folder are configured.

Step 5

Click Push to Storage

Use the Push to Storage action in the Studio toolbar to open the current destination picker dialog.

Step 6

Choose the storage connection

Select the exact saved Google Drive or SharePoint connection if Studio offers more than one destination.

Step 7

Choose the folder under the saved root

Browse to the exact destination folder beneath the saved root before confirming the push.

Step 8

Confirm the output filename

Review or edit the proposed workbook filename so the export lands with the right name downstream.

Step 9

Click the final Push button

Start the push only after the provider, folder, and filename are correct, because Studio will upload the current exported workbook state.

Before you push

Make sure the workbook in Studio is the version you actually want to send downstream, because the current push flow exports the current Studio workbook state.

FAQ

Why do I need to configure storage in Connections first?

Studio only pushes to saved Google Drive or SharePoint destinations that were already connected and configured in Connections.

What version of the workbook gets pushed?

Studio exports the current workbook state at the time you push, so you should confirm the workbook is in the right state before sending it downstream.

Limitations

Push depends on a saved destination configuration

Studio cannot complete the push flow until the destination provider, saved root folder, and connection are already set up in Connections.

Troubleshooting

Push to Storage is unavailable or disabled.

Confirm the storage provider is connected in Connections and that no push is already in progress for the current workpaper.

The push went to the wrong place.

Reopen the destination picker and verify the selected connection, folder under the saved root, and output filename before pushing again.
