Workpaper Agent / Studio
Watch the live Workpaper Agent stream when you want progress visibility during a run, resulting in clearer context before the final output appears.
Workflow
Step 1
Open the Builder or Studio workpaper where the current agent turn is already running or is about to start.
Step 2
Start the run from the chat composer if the agent is not already working on a turn.
Step 3
Leave the chat panel visible while the turn is running so the live reasoning stream can continue updating in place.
Step 4
Follow the streamed reasoning and tool output while the agent moves through the workbook task.
Step 5
Let the current response complete before starting another turn so you do not interrupt the in-progress work.
Step 6
Once the stream settles, move into the updated workbook, run summary, or follow-up workflow instead of using the live thoughts as the final artifact.
The automation stream helps you follow the Workpaper Agent in real time instead of waiting for a run to finish without context.
The run can continue, but you lose the live stream. Reopen the workpaper and check the resulting output or run summary once the run finishes.
The stream can go quiet while the agent is finishing a step or waiting on a tool. Wait for the turn to finish before assuming the run is stuck.
The streamed reasoning helps you understand the run, but the final workbook, review state, or run summary is still the system of record.
Check whether the current turn is still in progress in the chat workflow before starting another instruction.
Open the resulting workbook state or the run summary and use that output, not the stream text, to decide the next workflow.
