What Checklist does
Checklist is the month-close task workspace in Truewind. It helps teams track which close tasks are open, who owns each task, what needs review, and which tasks are ready to move forward.
Main areas of the interface
Use the close-period selector at the top of the page to choose the month you are reviewing. The period status shows whether the selected close period is open, not started, or closed. When the period is open, users with the right access can add tasks or close the period from the header.
The table is the main scanning view. It groups tasks by category and shows the task name, priority, status, preparers, reviewers, due date, and available row actions. Use this view when you need to compare task ownership, spot overdue items, or work through a filtered list.
Checklist table columns
The Name column shows the task name and the category group where the task is organized.
Priority shows the task's urgency, such as No Priority, Low, Medium, High, or Critical.
Status shows the current task state for the selected close period: Not Started, In Progress, or Completed.
Preparers shows the users responsible for preparing the task. Reviewers shows the users responsible for reviewing it.
Due Date shows when the task is expected to be completed for the selected close period.
Actions gives access to task-level controls, such as opening the task menu, editing task details, or taking another available row action.
Search and filters
The Checklist toolbar supports task-name search and filters for priority, status, preparers, and reviewers. Use Clear filters to return to the full task list after narrowing the table.
Status filters use the task status buckets shown in Checklist: Not Started, In Progress, and Completed. Linked workpapers can have their own more specific statuses in task activity or Workpaper Agent.
Task details
Open a task when you need the complete task workspace. The detail page includes the task description, subtasks, attachments, activity history, comments, assignees, category, priority, status, close period, and due date.
Attachments and comments stay with the task, so the detail page is the best place to keep supporting context for review.
Creating tasks
Use Add Task when new close work needs to be tracked. The dialog includes a Task tab for normal checklist tasks and a Workpaper tab for tasks that should connect to a workpaper workflow. Add the task name, description, attachments, due date, priority, preparers, category, and reviewers before creating the task.
