EisnerAmper and Truewind: AI Empowers Accountants

At this year’s Firm Growth Forum, joining John DeLalio to share how Truewind partnered with EisnerAmper was a big moment for us. It reflected what it means to build AI with accountants at a 4,500-person firm, not just for them.

From the start of our partnership, this was the main goal: reduce manual work so EA’s accountants can spend more time with clients. To do this, we focused on senior accountant workflows, where the most hours were being lost. Our team at Truewind worked directly with EisnerAmper’s accountants, sitting in on their month-end close, identifying pain points, and building software to automate the work that was slowing them down. Each feature was built, tested, and refined together, with real-world feedback shaping each release.

The result: an AI-native product that resonates with accountants. Truewind automatically predicts potential accrual entries, inconsistent tagging, and missing dimensions. This allows EA’s accountants to become reviewers, instead of doers. 

During the session, several key topics from the partnership were discussed, including:  

• How to identify the right workflows for AI

• What successful implementation and ramp-up look like in practice 

• Time savings in client work

• Why AI isn’t here to replace people - it’s here to empower them

Looking ahead, we’re continuing to build on that foundation. We’re moving deeper into more complex areas like accrual workflows, while continuing to co-develop the product with the people who use it every day. More than anything, our partnership is focused on supporting accountants, and achieving the outcomes that matter most for EA and their clients.
